Annual subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase. After the 14-day window, refunds are prorated based on unused months remaining in the subscription period. Refund requests must be submitted through the Billing dashboard or via support@acme.io.

Customers on annual plans who request cancellation will receive a prorated credit for the unused portion of their subscription term, applied to their Acme account balance. Credits are non-transferable and expire 12 months after issuance. Cash refunds are available only within the 14-day satisfaction guarantee window.

Monthly subscribers may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No partial-month refunds are issued for monthly plans. If you cancel before the cycle ends, your access continues until the paid period expires.

Billing disputes and refund exceptions above $500 require approval from the Customer Success Manager. Agents should open a JIRA ticket tagged BILLING-EXCEPTION and CC finance@acme.io. Resolution SLA is 3 business days.

Enterprise contracts are negotiated individually and may include custom SLAs, volume discounts, and bespoke payment schedules. Refund terms for enterprise agreements are specified in the Order Form and supersede the standard policy.

Upon account cancellation, user data is retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation. After 30 days, all personal data is permanently deleted in compliance with GDPR Article 17. Data export requests must be submitted before cancellation.

The Acme team plans to launch a self-serve billing portal in Q1 2025, enabling customers to upgrade, downgrade, and cancel plans without contacting support. Automatic prorated billing adjustments will be calculated in real time.

Acme guarantees 99.9% monthly uptime. If uptime falls below this threshold, affected customers are eligible for service credits of 10% of their monthly fee per hour of excess downtime, up to a maximum of 30% of the monthly fee.
